Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 2-4 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 2 cups mayonnaise

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup buttermilk (depending on how thick you want the dressing)

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped flat leaf parsley (stem and leaves)

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (stem and leaves)

  • 1/4 cup chopped oregano leaves

  • 1-2 big diced scallions, bulbs and green tops

  • 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper (or to taste)

Preparation

  1. Dice garlic on a cutting board as fine as you can. Sprinkle the salt over diced garlic and mash together with the edge of your knife or a fork to make a paste.

  2. Combine mayonnaise and sour cream in a mixing bowl. Stir in the garlic paste until well mixed.

  3. Add all remaining ingredients.

  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning, if needed.

  5. Keep chilled. When ready to serve, thin with more buttermilk if needed.
