Farm Journal
In subtle and blatant ways, farmers are professionally discounted and personally discouraged. I adamantly believe agriculture can be a rewarding, and healthy full time career. By writing about my work and sharing my progress, I hope to show how organic farms and farmers enrich and strengthen the communities they serve. ~April
“I love your newsletter. The produce is so delicious, but the spirit of the farm lives in how you both communicate with us. So grateful for you all.”

The Miracle of Food Carries On
So many things had to dance in perfect rhythm for this harvest day to come to fruition at April Joy Farm. The intricate relationships and timely connections are impossible to fathom.
Stories Aplenty
To all who wrote kind words of encouragement and support we say, with bowed heads and open hearts, thank you. The April Joy Farm family collectively has worked now for fifteen years to build a community of care.
Benediction
We will acknowledge this point of victory. We will revel in this outcome. We will take time, ample time, to pause and exhale and hug and cry and lift arms in celebration, in honor of what has transpired, and what it has meant to pull through. What it has meant to pull through together. To my April Joy Farm team: we have done it, together.

Can you see that each bite is rooted in place and story and history? Each bite instills the eater with a legacy and with a particular resonant energy which carries forward.
