Who We Are
We're a passionate collective of organic farmers and volunteers who believe we can break barriers while breaking bread.

We serve our community by connecting them with food and resources so that together we can build a new and nourishing future.

Our mission is to grow an equitable, inclusive, and resilient food system via four pillars: (1) remove systematic barriers that prevent families experiencing food insecurity from accessing regionally grown, culturally meaningful, organic food, (2) improve the farm viability and well-being of farmers experiencing racism, discrimination, and/or marginalization, (3) support the widespread adoption of healthy land stewardship and reduced food loss and waste, (4) grow meaningful, lasting relationships between all co-creators of our food system.

Our goals are to expand with purpose, not profit. We aim to grow by adding year-round support, expanding options for families, developing our partnerships, and building a sustainable funding model.

We prioritize agency through choice and sharing risk equitably. We're creating a fair food system that pays farmers sustainably and builds meaningful community partnerships.

We refuse to treat our soil, plants, animals, farmers, or our families with anything but kindness. We must do this work through love and understanding.

A third of all food grown around the world ends up wasted¹. We treat food as a gift, not a commodity. We can help more farmers manage their surpluses to reduce food losses.

Multilingual Support
From the beginning, we have ensured program information and resources are accessible to multilingual families, including writing a cookbook in four languages. Our translators volunteer their time.

Contributions from our community directly allow us to continue to provide food to families at no cost and help farmers thrive.
